Happy Thanksgiving, West Cummington, wherever you are!
Here we have scripture —

  • the Old Hundredth and an Ecclesiastes blessing. We have music that I won’t attempt to describe. In order

  • Jack Swindlehurst crooning in the kitchen.

  • Hollis Watkins, a SNCC organizer, recorded at a meeting in Mississippi in the early ‘60s. Note the lyrics.

  • Our own Penny Schultz leads us home.

Take a break, reach out to family however. See you Sunday. — Love, Steve

Dear West Cummington,

Yesterday was the great Mexican/American holiday, The Day Of The Dead. Here is a prayer centered there, a poem by Rumi and two powerful pieces of music: “What You Gonna Do” by the Staple Singers and “We Shall Walk Through The Streets Of The City” played as a New Orleans funeral march by Doc Paulin and his brass band.

Love, Steve
