Dear WCCC - My Wednesday message congratulating Raphael Warnock, Stacey Abrams, Jon Ossoff and the other heroes of Georgia? Well, it got drowned. It's still true and, yet again, what a difference a day makes! I ask you to be together, with each other, with me, with your deepest self -- be together in prayer as we admit to God our rage, our feelings of helplessness. As we proclaim to God our hope. May our leaders be more brave. May they put justice, truth and the people they represent above their own ambition, so shamefully revealed these last 4 years and again yesterday even after blood was shed in the Capitol.
We ask your help, God, as we struggle to redeem ourselves and our country.
Bless truth, justice, mercy. Amen.
