Dear WCCC,
Near the end of a beautiful day, here are 2 scriptures, odd bedfellows it would seem, and an exciting song! The prophets are Hosea and Amos, the prayer is from Teresa of Avila. The link is in my heart. The song asks the question which still burns today. The singer and guitarist is Luther Allison, based in Chicago, born in Arkansas, dead too young at 47.

Blessings and love,
Steve

P.S. LIVE ZOOM SERVICE THIS SUNDAY. WE’LL CELEBRATE COMMUNION — YOU BRING THE BREAD AND WINE, WE’LL PACK SONGS AND SCRIPTURE!

Here’s a hot mess:
Sermon, scripture, prayer all in one!
Then, thank God, Penny will sing us home.

Good Evening, Here’s a service for Ash Wednesday, a day of contemplation. The Phil Ochs song, sung by Christos, set me to thinking. Yesterday was Mardi Gras “Fat Tuesday”. Makes me think of New Orleans and Marcia Ball always brings it all with her. Bless you. Peace to your solitude. Response to your reaching out.
Love, Steve

Peace on a still winter evening. A breath between snows. What this moment brings:

Penny, with a medley of songs of light, inspired by last Wednesday’s message. Laila with a David Crosby song; very 60s, very now. A poem by Yehuda Amichai and a short prayer.

Remember, there will be a Zoom service this Sunday at 10:00. The invitation will go out Friday or Saturday. Look for it in an inbox near you.

Now is the winter of our disconnect. All over the country; between our bodies and our minds; sometimes between us and God. The roots of the word "religion" are in the Latin for retie; reconnect.
Simple is better in these waters. Here we have
01) Prayers and scripture by Layman P’Ang.
02) Sermon "These Homely Truths"
03) "I Know Moonlight" Penny Schultz
Love,
Steve

Yesterday was Ground Hog Day, pretty much like today. For this Wednesday evening we have:
1 - An old farm saying meets conspiracy theory: “Half Your Hay ..." And Psalm 131. Thanks. Debs.
2 - “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” The Holmes Brothers. Laid back yet exciting. Did you ever hear them at The Iron Horse?
Love to all, snowed in, snowed out, or wondering what the fuss was all about.
Steve
